About this video
The topic of the movie is "pedophilia", which was a taboo subject when the movie was made in 1960. In fact, this film was panned by critics, and social communities alike (which caused the film to bomb at the box office), simply for the reason that you did NOT question authority figures, or people in power, let alone accuse them of such crimes! This was the mentality back then! As for the film itself, in my opinion, this is one of the best movies I've ever seen, tackling such a controversial topic, and doing it without crossing the barriers set in that era. Expect a roller coaster of emotions ranging from frustration to anger, but the film is well worth watching. Length: 1 hour and 21 minutes long, and the acting, writing, and directing is superb. If you want to see an excellent "fictional" (ahem) movie on how the topic was handled 60+ years ago, this is the film to watch!
