Global leaders joined in celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, with US President Donald Trump leading the wishes through a personal phone call on Tuesday.

Talking about the call, President Trump posted on Truth Social, saying: “Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job. Narendra: Thank you for your support on ending the war between Russia and Ukraine!”

Responding on X, PM Modi said: “Thank you, my friend, President Trump, for your phone call and warm greetings on my 75th birthday. Like you, I am fully committed to taking the India-US Comprehensive and Global Partnership to new heights. We support your initiatives toward a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict.”

In a video message, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, "Prime Minister Modi, my good friend Narendra, I want to wish you a happy birthday. You've accomplished so much for India in your life, and we have together accomplished a great deal in the friendship between India and Israel. I look forward to seeing you soon because we can bring our partnership and our friendship to even greater heights. Happy birthday, my friend"

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also extended his birthday wishes, referring to PM Modi as a “friend.” He highlighted the strong bond between India and Australia and praised the Indian community’s contributions in the country. “I look forward to catching up with you soon, Prime Minister, and many more years of friendship and progress,” he added.

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon sent his greetings via a video message on X, noting that milestones like this offer a moment to reflect on the wisdom of PM Modi’s leadership and India’s path toward becoming a developed nation by 2047. He also expressed hope to reciprocate the warm hospitality extended to him during his visit in March by hosting PM Modi in New Zealand.

Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay wished PM Modi on X, stating: “Our national servicemen and women, and all the people of Bhutan offer warmest wishes on your 75th birth anniversary. On this happy occasion, we pray for your good health, happiness, and long life.”

Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov also extended birthday greetings. In a post on X in Hindi, he wrote: “Heartfelt birthday greetings and best wishes to the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri @narendramodiji! We are grateful for his invaluable contribution in taking the decades-old friendship between Russia and India to new heights. May he continue to succeed in every endeavour for the welfare of the country and the world.”

Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, sent a personal message, wishing the Prime Minister continued good health. He wrote: “As India’s longest-staying guest, I have witnessed firsthand the far-reaching development and prosperity that have occurred over the years. I congratulate you on the growing confidence and strength India has achieved, which also contributes to global progress.”

He added: “I consider myself a proud messenger of India, and regularly express my admiration for India, the world’s most populous democracy, for its remarkable religious pluralism. India exemplifies harmony and stability to the world. For Tibetans, India has not only been the source of our spiritual heritage but, for more than sixty-six years, also our physical home. I would like to once again extend our deep gratitude to the Government and people of India for their warm and generous hospitality.”

PM Modi, born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat, is being celebrated nationwide with events highlighting health, welfare, and development programmes, alongside tributes from political leaders across India.
