Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a standing ovation while addressing the Knesset, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to address Israel’s Parliament and the first to visit Israel twice.

Modi recalled his earlier visit as Chief Minister of Gujarat and highlighted the growing strength of ties between India and Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred to Modi as his “dear friend and brother,” while opposition leader Yair Lapid joined the session as Modi began his address.
