NDIS Changes Will Cut 160,000 Participants 🚫

The government has announced sweeping changes to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), aimed at tightening eligibility rules to reduce the number of participants from 760,000 people today to about 600,000 people by the end of the decade.
NDIS Minister Mark Butler says the government will also aim to reduce the total cost of social and community support, from an average of $31,000 per person this year to about $26,000 within two years.
There'll also be a crackdown on registration, expanding the categories of providers who'll need to be fully registered and an attempt to reduce spending on third parties managing NDIS plans by 30%.
