Brood writ on heart, I set upon the route, <br />Browsing, in the morn, that I knew the stored rude, <br />Memories flipped fast, of the days to the root, <br />Unexpected that happend, nothing but brute. <br /> <br />Ceased he, to share the shine and the rain, <br />Ceased he, to share, gain and pain, <br />Ceased he, to share, memories of time, <br />Ceased he, to share, fragrances so fine. <br /> <br />Minimised himself to a bunch of bones, <br />Unreceptive to his siblings moans, <br />Funeral pyre all set to reduce him to ashes, <br />I stood crestfallen, recalling his sweet brashes.<br /><br />Narayanan Ramakrishnan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-final-parting/
