Najib’s 1MDB Trial Delayed as Key Witness and Counsel Fall Ill 🏥

Najib Abdul Razak's 1MDB criminal trial enters its 34th day, but how could it possibly continue if a key witness and the lead defence counsel are on sick leave? It can't.   <br /><br />Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak's mutli-billion ringgit 1MDB trial will not take place today or tomorrow, because ninth key prosecution witness Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi and lead defence counsel Muhammad Shafee Abdullah are on medical leave. <br /><br />Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah allowed the postponement application by both lead deputy public prosecutor Gopal Sri Ram and Najib's defence counsel Wan Aizuddin Wan Mohammad.
