If you've been at my channel for a minute, you know that I think the concept of bugout bags in general are stupid.
A lot of the time, I see the prepping community refer to the "bugout bag" like some sort of romantic end-of-the-world fantasy where they think they are going to escape into the woods with their family and live there forever. Some preppers even refer to the bugout bag as the "I'm Never Coming Home" (INCH) Bag. And this just isn't even a realistic possibility - in fact, if you're planning to do this, your probably going to die.
The reality is if you are using a "bugout bag," you really can't go much more than 72 hours with it. And if you have a family with kids, a bugout bag will just not be sufficient to survive a real emergency... you need real emergency equipment for that.
If you're going to have an emergency bag, Everything in this bag should be built in mind to keep you moving until you get to your next destination... you don't want to be stopping to fish or hunt and skin animals in the woods.
