Removing moles is part of a normal day in the derm office. Most of the time we remove moles to check if they have any atypical or cancerous properties. Besides the shave removal, the other technique we use is a simple excision which requires stitches, which, depending on the size, could leave a smaller scar. The only pain you feel is the needle prick from the lidocaine injection, otherwise it’s a very quick, painless, and easy procedure.
