The Pakistani ‘President's Pride of Performance’ awarded singer Shafqat Amanat Ali is the son of Ustad Amanat Ali Khan. He belongs from the 9th generation of musically famous Patiala Gharana. The gharana is appreciated worldwide for its concentration on intricate taan-patterns and sargams. Since the age of four, Shafqat took his lessons Hindustani classical music. Uncle Ustad Fateh Ali Khan Sahab and Roshanara Begum is a big influence on Shafqat after his father. His every performance shows the shows the ability of classically trained voice and his command over modern music. His sincere and heartfelt voice mesmerized the audience of Dhaka International FolkFest 2018.
The euphony of Folk music from around the world comes back to its’ abode; to the land of Lalon, to the rivers of Bhatiali, to the sound of Bhawaiya.
