Micron's Sock Mystery: Where Do Missing Socks Disappear? 🧦

We always start with a pair
Two matching socks we did wear
After washing one seems to disappear.
Search high and low its nowhere near.

So where did that one sock go
A single sock we didn’t throw
Maybe washing machine was hungry
Or the killer dryer got overly angry

It’s a silent thief perhaps
Some thing that don’t leave tracks
The sock gremlin had struck again
And carried it back into its den

An new accusation is now thrown
It must be buried with the dog bone
But what used would one be to he
For he’d need to take another three

Another answer I’ve now found
It sounds mad but theory could be sound
Sock manufacturers put a chemical in one of socks
So only one disappears after they been washed

Maybe the sock just fell out with its mate
And left its old partner to its fate
Lying there in the bottom of the drawer
Pining lonely, unloved not to be wore

How ever much this we investigate
How why pairs of socks are split is their fate
How socks into thin air just dissolve
The mysterious reason is still to be resolved........
