Micron's Sock Mystery: Where Do Missing Socks Disappear? 🧦

We always start with a pair <br />Two matching socks we did wear <br />After washing one seems to disappear. <br />Search high and low its nowhere near. <br /> <br />So where did that one sock go <br />A single sock we didn’t throw <br />Maybe washing machine was hungry <br />Or the killer dryer got overly angry <br /> <br />It’s a silent thief perhaps <br />Some thing that don’t leave tracks <br />The sock gremlin had struck again <br />And carried it back into its den <br /> <br />An new accusation is now thrown <br />It must be buried with the dog bone <br />But what used would one be to he <br />For he’d need to take another three <br /> <br />Another answer I’ve now found <br />It sounds mad but theory could be sound <br />Sock manufacturers put a chemical in one of socks <br />So only one disappears after they been washed <br /> <br />Maybe the sock just fell out with its mate <br />And left its old partner to its fate <br />Lying there in the bottom of the drawer <br />Pining lonely, unloved not to be wore <br /> <br />How ever much this we investigate <br />How why pairs of socks are split is their fate <br />How socks into thin air just dissolve <br />The mysterious reason is still to be resolved........<br /><br />Micron<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-great-mystery-of-socks/
