Meet Sitka: The Majestic Bald Eagle with an Inspiring Comeback 🦅

Meet Sitka, our largest Bald Eagle ambassador. After a car collision, Sitka suffered serious injuries, including damage to her wing and the loss of her rear talon. Although Sitka can still fly short distances, she can no longer hunt, which makes her non-releasable. Sitka now has an important job here at the Alaska Raptor Center, helping us educate the public about raptors and the dangers they face in the wild. #BaldEagleAmbassador #WildlifeEducation #Backstory
