INDIA VS SOUTH AFRICA 2nd TEST 2025: It was unthinkable once. Now, it threatens to become routine. India suffered their second home Test series whitewash in as many years as South Africa handed them a bruising defeat in Guwahati on Wednesday. Temba Bavuma’s World Test champions hammered India by 408 runs, sealing their first series win in India in 25 years.
Head coach Gautam Gambhir fielded tough questions while remaining composed in Guwahati. He fronted the press after India lost 0–2 to South Africa, going down in the second and final Test of the series by 408 runs on Wednesday, 26 November. Pressure has been mounting on Gambhir, who has become the first Indian coach to suffer two whitewashes in home Test series. In his first year as Test coach, India lost 0–3 to New Zealand and have now succumbed 0–2 to South Africa.
