During your job interview, you will have to answer the difficult behavioral questions such as... Tell me about a time when you worked on a team, and tell me about a time when you had to overcome a difficult problem.

When answering these difficult questions, I strongly recommend you use the STAR method. The STAR method is recognized by all hiring managers as the best way to answer behavioral interview questions.

STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action and Result.

I strongly recommend you incorporate those four words into your answers. For example, when the hiring manager says to you Tell me about a time when you worked on a team, say something like this.

SITUATION: I was in a situation in my previous role where I worked on the team to launch a new company product.

TASK: Our task was to achieve strong sales during the product's launch.

ACTION: To achieve the task, we took positive action. We got together as a team to brainstorm marketing ideas before launching the product on social media and by offering customers a loyalty discount.

RESULT: The result was very positive. We achieved the best-ever sales for a new company product launch and we beat the previous product launch by 18%. That is a powerful answer and you can see how effective the STAR method really is.
