Master the Caesar Cipher in Just 60 Seconds! 🔐

In this video, I will explain the Caesar Cipher in under 60 seconds. This method of cryptography was most famously used by the roman emperor himself, Caesar. By modern standards, it offers no cryptographic security and should therefore be avoided. Simply put, this method of encryption is too easy to break, requiring only 26 brute-force attempts in the worst-case (assuming that you know the correct plaintext at least). Similarly, it can easily be broken with frequency analysis. The biggest problem is that the algorithm creates a 1-to-1 mapping of plaintext characters to ciphertext characters, meaning that identical plaintexts with the same shift value will create identical ciphertexts. However, it is an interesting and important introduction to the world of encryption and decryption.
