In this video, I introduce to you a new, budding and awesome platform known as cryptohack. The link is www.cryptohack.org. Now, the platform gives you certain courses embedding some challenges for learning crypto. In order to crack those courses, you need to be able to go over all those problems and solve them by yourself. There is a leader board also, where you can compare your score. If you're a beginner to modern cryptography/cryptanalysis, and trying to get into ethical hacking/penetration testing or even a CTF. You'll need to know about the basics as well as the modern advanced methods of cryptography. This platform is similar to TRYHACKME, HACKTHEBOX,BLUET EAM CHALLENGES(BTLO), etc.
Now, it is necessary for you to know python in order to get over all of those problems and getting into the top of the leaderboard. You should be able to code in python and understand problems, not only to solve them, but also to get a grasp over the concept taught.
