Massive Landslide Halts Traffic On Dirang-Tawang Road In Arunachal Pradesh

A major landslide on Monday afternoon has blocked the Dirang–Tawang road near Sapper Camp in West Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh. The fall occurred close to Padma Hotel, obstructing around 120 metres of the highway and halting traffic. Viral footage shows boulders crashing down as panicked commuters yell, “Back karo! , with some exiting their vehicles in fear. Two cars suffered damage, but no injuries were reported. Authorities have deployed machinery to clear debris, and officials say traffic may resume as early as tomorrow.
