In Hinduism, bodies are cremated. In Islam and Christianity, they are buried.
But there exists one community with one of the most unique and haunting death rituals in the world — the Parsis.

This is the story of the Tower of Silence.
A place where the dead are not buried, not burned — but left under the open sky, where nature takes its course.
The body is placed in a massive circular structure (called a Dakhma), and vultures feed on it — returning it back to nature.
