Marcos Attends ASEAN Summits in Laos: Key Discussions and Highlights 🌏

Southeast Asian leaders gathered in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on October 9, 2024, for the Opening Ceremony of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits. Hosted by the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR), the annual regional forum brings together President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, and other ASEAN leaders and their spouses to address key issues facing the region.<br /><br />With the theme "Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience," the back-to-back summits will focus on addressing the ongoing civil war in Myanmar and territorial tensions in the South China Sea.
