Liwanag ng Datul Bakay: Atom Araullo’s I-Witness Episode

Aired (March 9, 2019): For most of us, living with electricity has become indispensable. We cannot imagine going on with our lives without light and electric appliances that make lives easier. But in Datal Bukay, in Sarangani where residents do not have access to electricity, you will see children playing outside,

March adults exchanging stories with neighbors, students studying 09, with only the flickering light from the gas lamp.

Residents here live in the dark. But not for long. This first quarter of 2019, an electric cooperative has put up posts and installed cables in Datal Bukay. The rough roads are now lined with electric posts and cables.
