I remember watching Beyoncé perform on Oprah. I was sitting on the floor, in front of the TV. Rapt. I remember thinking to myself… Holy crap, does she ever look relaxed. This song is exceptionally complicated. Exceptionally high and belty. As a matter of fact, I had to take my own advice when I sang this live take. (“Put your aside and choose the correct key for YOU!”) I lowered it a semi tone.
