Les Itinérantes - Souvenir d'un Été Enchanté ✨

Souvenir d'une fin d'après-midi magique l'été dernier, dans une forêt enchantée du Morvan... ✨ 🍃
Dans le cadre des résidences jeunes ensembles (les Quotidiennes) de La Cité de la Voix à Vézelay, nous avions pour challenge d'enregistrer et tourner un clip en une journée, avec une soirée de préparation puis une journée de montage. 🎥 🎙

"Reis Glorios" est une alba médiévale en occitan, du troubadour Guiraud de Bornelh (XIIe/XIIIe siècle) arrangée par Pauline Langlois de Swarte.
Une Alba, (= aubade) ou aube, se situe dans ce moment suspendu "entre nuit et jour". Thème prisé par les troubadours, l'aube est entre deux monde ; entre les secrets de la nuit et la renaissance de la lumière. C'est un moment qui symbolise souvent la séparation des amants.

"Roi glorieux, lumière et clarté véritable,
Sois une aide fidèle pour mon compagnon
Que je n’ai pas vu depuis le crépuscule
Car bientôt l’aube viendra."

Sweet memory from a magical afternoon last summer, in an enchanted forest of the Morvan. ✨ 🍃
During a young ensembles residency at Vézelay (France), we were given this challenge: record and shoot a music video in one day, preparing it the evening before, and then having another day to edit the video. 🎥 🎙

"Reis Glorios" is an Occitan medieval aubade by the troubadour Guiraud de Bornelh (XIIth/XIIIth century), arranged by Pauline Langlois de Swarte.
An aubade takes place at dawn (aube), between night and day. A popular theme for troubadours. Dawn stands between two worlds; between the secrets of the night and the rebirth of light. This moment often symbolizes the parting of lovers.

"Glorious king, true light and clarity,
Almighty God, Lord, if it please You,
Be a faithful aid to my companion,
Because I have not seen him since the night came,
And soon it will be dawn."
