After spending several years in the countryside, a single mother and her two daughters return to Taipei to open a noodle stand in a bustling night market. Each of them must adapt to their new surroundings in order to establish themselves in the big city and maintain family unity. When the younger daughter's grandfather forbids her from using her «devil's hand» because she is left-handed, old family secrets gradually come to light. This is a touching and humorous family drama about new beginnings and solidarity.
