About this video
In today's tutorial, I want to show you how to play "San Luis" by Gregory Alan Isakov on the guitar. The song structure is a bit complicated as there are so many different parts in this song, so I'd recommend using the quicklinks down below to get to the different sections. All chord shapes are related to the capo on 3rd fret.
EDIT: After going through the song again for my playthrough video (link below), I realized I made a couple of mistakes in this tutorial, which is why the chord progressions in the videos differ slightly:
Difference 1: In the chorus, he goes to an Am instead of the first C/G from the D/A.
Difference 2: Also in the chorus, he goes to a Gadd11 instead of a regular G as a transition chord.
Difference 3: The bridge starts off on a Bm instead of a D/A.
Difference 4: There is an extra line of G to C/G in the transition from the bridge to the last verse.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
