About this video
It was 5 PM when I got the call.
A tech interview—9 AM tomorrow.
Panic? Absolutely.
I had 24 hours. What could I do?
✅Step 1: Stay calm. Don’t freak out.
First thing: DSA practice.
I recalled all the key DSA patterns—sliding window, binary search, dynamic programming.
I solved 3 problems: one easy, one medium, one hard.
My strategy? Focus on what I knew. Don’t get stuck.
âś…Step 2: System Design prep.
I quickly revisited system design concepts—scalability, load balancing, database design.
Rewatched a 30-minute video on designing real-world apps.
Then I sketched out a design for a popular app—knowing it could come up.
âś…Step 3: Review previous interview questions.
I went through GeeksforGeeks, looking at recently asked questions at my target company.
Focused on specific patterns and problem types they usually ask.
âś…Step 4: Company research.
Checked their tech stack—what tools and languages do they use?
This gave me a clear idea of what to expect in the interview.
âś…Step 5: Behavioral prep.
Reviewed common behavioral questions.
I went through my past projects, focusing on how I solved problems and worked with teams.
Prepared answers using the STAR method to stay crisp and clear.
âś…Step 6: Rest. No more cramming.
I set the books down at 1 AM and forced myself to relax.
I knew I was as prepared as I could be—now I needed a clear mind.
The next morning, I woke up early—calm and ready.
The interview began. I stayed focused and composed.
It wasn’t perfect, but I stayed calm, focused, and answered with clarity.
And guess what? I got the job offer.
🙅‍♀️Lesson learned: It’s not about memorizing everything.
It’s about knowing how to approach the problem and staying calm under pressure.
