While the company is working on a successor to the S1H series, it isn't very interested in trying to compete with Nikon, Canon, and Sony on the sports, action, and wildlife front.

Because Panasonic holds the most responsibility for camera development on L-mount and they're not interested in doing it, it seems like there may never be a camera that can fully take advantage of Sigma's 300-600mm f/4 Sports lens – and that stinks.
