THE CHALLENGE: "teach me statistics in half an hour with no mathematical formula" The RESULT: an intuitive overview of distributions, sampling and hypothesis testing that (almost) scrapes in under 30 minutes :) Whether you're studying statistics for the first time or are just curious as to what the study of statistics is all about, this video is a great introduction to several core concepts. Oh, and all the examples I use come from the 2018-19 NBA season. Steph's 3 point percentage is what is called a 'ratio', which is numeric. It can be argued to be discrete (as for a given number of attempts, there are only so many possible percentages that can be achieved), or continuous (if we allow the number of attempts to change).
