What’s the Kia Picanto GT really like? Is this a hot hatch? Is it a throwback to the eighties? Yes to both! The 1.0-litre turbocharged 2020 Kia Picanto GT is hilariously fun to drive, and given it costs less than $20,000 here in Australia, it’s also very cheap and cheerful. Should you consider a Picanto GT if you want a new car with some zest and verve? Is it up there with a Ford Fiesta ST? Or a Volkswagen Polo GTI? Maybe not quite, but that doesn’t make it bad.
