The Food and Drug Administration has eliminated a key team that trained agency staff and external healthcare professionals on public health and regulatory practices, according to CNBC. More than 30 employees were laid off as part of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s broader plan to cut 10,000 jobs at the Department of Health and Human Services. The cancellation halts all continuing education activities, including opioid safety and AI in regulatory decision-making. One of the affected offices was fully funded by user fees rather than taxpayer dollars.
