Keir Starmer delivers update on Iran conflict as tensions flare with Donald Trump

Sir Keir Starmer will give an update on the cost of living amid the war in Iran at a Downing Street press conference this morning.

It is thought Sir Keir's address will cover both the conflict and Government support for households as fears grow over rising prices. Oil prices have soared since the Middle East crisis erupted as Tehran blocks a key shipping lane for the global oil and gas industry.

It comes after US President Donald Trump told the UK to "go and get your own oil" yesterday as tensions flared again.
