KAZU & YASU Soccer Heroes (1995) ⚽ | The Inspiring Origins of Japan’s Football Legends

A biographical animated cartoon depicting the youth of Yasutoshi Miura and the Chira brothers, who sparked the soccer boom in the early days of the J-League. The story begins when the Miura brothers join a local soccer team after moving to Shizuoka. Then, the brothers develop their soccer talents, their older brother Yasutoshi is active in high school soccer, and his younger brother Chira goes to Brazil alone after graduating from junior high school. The two, who both grew up as soccer players, met as professional players.<br /><br />This work is an animation that visualizes the original work of two mothers, Yoshiko Miura, directed by Kazuki Akane of "Theatrical Version Escaflowne", and written by Chifude Asakura of "Maple Town Story".<br />
