On March 3, Supreme Court of India turned down a plea to immediately list an appeal seeking permission to allow students to appear in annual examinations in Karnataka's pre-university colleges with their head scarf, reported IANS. The matter was mentioned before the bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud by a woman lawyer. She mentioned that exams are five days later and therefore the plea for urgent listing. “You come on the last date, what can we do,” the bench told the lawyer.
