Candlelight <br /> <br /> <br />I love to write by candlelight <br />In the quiet stillness of the night <br />I feel as if I'm redefined <br />Back to another place and time <br /> <br />The still and quiet solitude <br />Makes me ponder with gratitude <br />Of all the old sages long ago <br />Who penned their thoughts in candle glow <br /> <br />A soothing breeze now enters in <br />Gently waking hairs on skin <br />Now a shiver comes over me <br />I turn my head but none too see <br /> <br />Could it be a sage from past <br />Here to help inspire at last <br />I often wonder were my thoughts come from <br />Like a candle in the wind I succumb <br /> <br />My pen races over page <br />Emotion flowing, Love...Life...Rage <br />I write with fury as it flows <br />Where it comes from, heaven knows <br /> <br />Then comes a time when words are few <br />Sitting not knowing what to do <br />I'll just wait for the quiet of night <br />When my old friends and I write by candlelight <br /> <br /> <br />21 June 2007<br /><br />JoJo Bean<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/candlelight-3/
