1) Suica or Pasmo Card
As soon as you landed in Japan, you need to get this rechargeable card called Suica or Pasmo Card. You can get this from train station at the airport and load them up with cash or credit or debit card💳 You can use as transportation card, pay for taxi, pay for vending machines and we found there are so many shops, cafes and restaurants accept this now💯 What to do after you left Japan? Well just keep it and once you are back, just load them up again, no expiry date✌🏻
2) Don’t eat and drink while walking in Japan🙅🏻
There seems no hard rule but you will get scolded especially by locals and food vendor, so don’t do it. If you buy any street food, eat it straight away in the shop and you can throw away your rubbish too. Otherwise, it’s so difficult to find rubbish bin🗑️ and don’t ever litter or you’ll get fine or again frowned upon🚮
3) If you are a smoker, don’t smoke on the streets, not even vape! There are designated smoking places, both indoor and outdoor and that’s where you can smoke or vape🚬Follow the rules and be respectful
