Jam Puffs Recipe From 1899 - Old Cookbook Show
Jam Puffs (Potato Pastry).
¼ Lb. Flour.
¼ Lb. Mashed Potato.
3 Ozs. Fat.
1 Teasp. Baking Powder.
½ Teasp. Salt.
Jam.
Mix the flour, salt, and baking powder together.
Rub in the fat. Add the potatoes and enough cold water to form a stiff paste. Roll out very thinly. Cut in rounds. Put a spoonful of jam on each. Moisten the edges and fold over.
Place on greased tin, and bake 10 minutes in quick oven.
