What is the Honors Math Major?

The Mathematics Honors Program at Notre Dame is a rigorous program aimed at students who enjoy mathematics, thrive on challenge, and want to understand not just how mathematics works, but why it works as well. The program includes carefully planned and thorough sequences in analysis and algebra, the two most important building blocks of modern mathematics, as well as the opportunity to work closely with a faculty member by completing a senior thesis.
