Israeli Soldiers Halt Bus Transporting Palestinians with Citizenship in Jerusalem

A video filmed by Russian-Israeli journalist and activist Andrey Khrzhanovskiy in Jerusalem shows Israeli soldiers stopping a bus carrying Palestinians with Israeli citizenship for an ID check.

“They returned only my ID because I’m the only non-Palestinian on the bus even though everyone has an Israeli ID. Those are Palestinians with Israeli passports, full Israeli citizens. But yeah, tell me again how Israel is not an apartheid state,” says Khrzhanovskiy as he got off the bus.

Several rights groups, including Amnesty International, have concluded that Israel’s policies in occupied Palestine amount to a system and crime of apartheid. Israel has condemned such accusations as biased and “antisemitic”.
