At the same time, Israeli security analysts warn that the pause in fighting is giving Hamas space to reassert control. The IDF is also pressing ahead with its broad counterterror operation in northern Samaria. And in Washington, D.C., two National Guardsmen are in critical condition after being shot near the White House.
