About this video
Aired (April 6, 2019): "Cobrador Island lies on the northern tip of the Province of Romblon. Behind the beauty and serenity of this island, lies an age-old problem of the island’s residents—the lack of potable water.
Out of 7 sitios, there are only 9 sources of water for the 1,000 residents. In one part of the island, an old well and an equally old artesian well are the main sources of fresh water, disregarding the yellowish color, metallic taste, and sometimes, saltiness of its quality.
For Cleir, Joy, Gelyn, Jesemer, all students of Cobrador Elementary School, clean and fresh water is like gold. One gallon of mineral water costs 50 pesos. Drinking clean water is now a privilege."
