A message is widely circulated on WhatsApp with a claim that the central government is providing free laptops to students under a scheme. The viral message contains a link and the receivers are being asked to click on it to check eligibility. So if you want to get a free laptop under the Government of India Free Laptop (scheme), you can visit this official site and check eligibility" read the viral message. However, PIB Fact Check, a fact-checking unit of the central government, clarified that the viral message is fake and no such scheme is being run.
