The traction control on the C5 Corvette is definitely a good addition. I know the older models did not have active handling, however, my 2004 model does. It lets the car slide just a little bit but then abruptly hits the brakes to stop you. It is not as advanced as newer systems, obviously, however, it is still a very good feature to have compared to something like the Viper.
