Is Civ 7 Now a Better Game? 🚀

Civilization 7 is over a year old now, and it's been undergoing massive change through the iterative Firaxis Feature Workshop since the beginning of 2026. Let's use some of the WORK-IN-PROGRESS footage from Round 3 of the Workshop to explore the changes to Civilization 7, and how both the new workshopped features, as well as the broader game could change for the better. Civ 7 turned one in Febuary 2026, and with the Test of Time Update scheduled to release in May 2026, now seemed like a good time to take stock and reflect on my feedback - with a focus on categories I'd like to see more tuning: Triumphs, dedications, victories, the UI, peace deals, settlements, maps, resources, age-transitions, and the workshop process. I'll conclude by reflecting on the most common question people asked during the workshop livestreams - which was some variation of: "is it good now?" or "what does this change" or "what does civ 7 still need to improve" or "how can civ 7 improve". I gathered a lot of my own feedback and plenty of yours during the Workshop, and this is my way of presenting it back to you! I'll also talk about some of the things I like about Civ 7 as we go through. Also fyi - I've passed it on the key points from every part of the video to the Civ 7 devs at Firaxis.
