IPL Auction LIVE: The IPL caravan arrives in Abu Dhabi today for the mini-auction that promises fireworks and strategic battles as 10 franchises look to fine-tune their squads ahead of the 2026 season. Starting at 2:30 PM IST, the one-day event at the Etihad Arena will see 369 players - 244 Indians and 115 overseas - vie for 77 available slots.
Cameroon Green is anticipated to be the most sought-after, with an intense bidding war expected to rope in the Australians. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who have the biggest purse available (Rs 64.30 crore), have the advantage but there's a catch too. The franchise also need to fill in the most vacancies among all ten franchises, with 13 slots to fill. Among the 359 shortlisted, 40 players have listed themselves at the maximum base price of Rs 2 crore, with Venkatesh Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi the only Indians in that list. KKR had splurged Rs 23.75 crore for Iyer at the last auction but it turned out to be an absolute waste. The all-rounder failed to live up to the hefty price tag and was even dropped from the playing XI midway during the tournament.

The final list features 350 players, with 240 Indian cricketers and 110 overseas players.
