Introduction to the Playfair Cipher

This an an introduction to the Playfair cipher and an explanation of how it works, how to cipher a text using it, and how to decipher the resulting ciphered message.
The Playfair cipher is a polyalphabetic cipher that ciphers bigrams (pairs of letters) as opposed to single letters like the simple substitution cipher. It is a more secure cipher as a result. This is a cipher that has been used in military applications until computers made it extremely crackable.
Still, it's a pretty fun cipher to learn, and this video is a step-by-step guide on how to build your key, how to encrypt a short phrase, and how to decrypt the encrypted text so that the person who received the message can read it.
It's also pretty unique among polyalphabetic ciphers because it ciphers bigrams instead of going letter by letter.
