A Mealy machine is a finite state machine where the output symbol depends on the current input symbol and state. It can be described as six tuples (Q, q0, ∑, O, δ, λ') with Q representing the finite set of states, q0 representing the initial state, ∑ representing the input alphabet, O representing the output alphabet, δ representing the transition function, and λ' representing the output function. The Moore machine, on the other hand, is a finite state machine where the output symbol depends only on the current state and input symbol.
