Inside South Sudan’s Civil War I Developing News

In 2018, Sumy Sadurni embedded with rebel forces in South Sudan to document their fight against government troops during a six-year civil war that ravaged the world’s youngest nation.

This is her story.

In Developing News, VICE interviews photographers whose photos have become synonymous with important world events. The photographers relive the story behind the photos, telling their tales from the front line of battlefields and hospitals, and reflecting on their journey to becoming a photographer.
