Almost a quarter of energy-related global greenhouse emissions come from transport. In a progressively connected world where more people have the freedom to travel, it is crucial we curb our emissions from transport. The transition to electric vehicles is already underway but how do we make aviation, rail and marine transport sustainable too?

The Sustainable Development Goals encourages resilient infrastructure and intensified efforts to progress electrification. Our research will help in addressing these challenges.

We’re leading the way for net zero propulsion, investigating ammonia as fuel for commercial shipping, devising vehicle-to-grid chargepoints that improve battery life in electric vehicles and much more.
