About this video
Delivery marks a new level of logistical and humanitarian capability for the Indonesian Air Force
Indonesia has officially received its first Airbus A400M military transport aircraft in a ceremony held on November 3, 2025, at Halim Air Base in Jakarta.
The aircraft had been delivered earlier this year, in January, from Airbus’s final assembly line in Seville, Spain. It represents the first unit of a 2021 contract that includes two aircraft — the second is scheduled for delivery in 2026.
The A400M will become the new flagship of the Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) transport fleet, gradually replacing the veteran Lockheed C-130 Hercules. Until now, the country had operated only smaller aircraft, such as the CASA C212 and C295, which are limited in range and payload capacity.
Source and images: Airbus
