In this static review of the 2027 BMW 3 Series sedan (i3 50 EV), we discuss launch specifications and tour the exterior design, interior materials and technology, boot space, and frunk.

This specification is the i3 50 xDrive, with 345kW of power (460 hp), 900km range (WLTP), a predicted 108kWh (usable) NMC battery and all-wheel drive but expect a full range of RWD, AWD, electric, petrol, and hybrid offerings, plus new M3 models.

Rivals to the 3 Series include the Mercedes-Benz C-Class (and forthcoming C-Class EV), Audi A5, Tesla Model 3, BYD Seal, Genesis G70 and more.
