Recently I've been seeing nonstop ads on AI software that claims to be able to write and entire book or screenplay in minutes... What really rubbed me the wrong way was how these ads seem to try to normalize creative writing with AI, as if everyone is doing it.
I also really doubted that this software could do anything more than create AI slop, so I put it to the test with my own book idea!
I firmly believe that using generative AI to "write" a book is not actually writing, and publishing work that was created by a language model is unethical.
