I went to the food bank and it was EMPTY...

I walked into the food bank and there was no line… no people… just rows of empty chairs.
But what surprised me the most wasn’t that it was empty—it was how much food they still had to give away.
In this video I’m sharing what I received from my local food bank and turning it into a full family dinner using what we got. Not everything goes perfectly (you’ll see what happened with the popcorn 😅), but that’s real life cooking.
A lot of people don’t realize that some food banks actually have an overabundance of food and want members of the community to come. When food isn’t picked up, it can go to waste. That’s a big reason I go, to use what’s available and show how to turn it into real meals.
If you’ve ever wondered whether you should check out your local food bank, this might give you a different perspective. Every location is different, so it’s always worth learning how yours works.
